Local tax in Kaiserwinkl
Visitor's tax information
Due to Tyrolean law, all overnight stays in the context of tourism are subject to taxation. The so-called local tax or visitor's tax is levied independently of the accommodation price and is used to maintain the infrastructure in Kaiserwinkl such as maintenance of paths, Regiobus, cross-country skiing network, signposting, etc.
In the area of the Kaiserwinkl Tourist Association, the residence tax per person is set at €2.60 per person per night; from 01/12/2026 € 3.90 per person per night.
The contribution is earmarked for tourism-related services in the region. Overnight stays by children are exempt from the fee until the end of the calendar year in which they turn 15. More details on exemptions can be found below.
Thanks to these contributions, we are able to:
• continuously improve the quality of our offerings
• further develop infrastructure, services, and guest support
• create new added value for our guests
New from summer 2027:
With a minimum stay of 3 nights, our guests benefit from one free round trip (ascent and descent) on the mountain lifts in the region.

Übrigens...
... every guest who stays in an accommodation in the Kaiserwinkl is entitled to the Kaiserwinkl Card, which they will receive from their landlord upon arrival.
